Every piece we make is covered for two years, and looked after by the people who made it. Here is what that includes, and how to keep your jewelry looking the way it did the day it arrived.
Two-Year Warranty
Every TruCut Diamonds piece is guaranteed against defects in manufacturing and craftsmanship for two years from the date of delivery. Repairs covered by the warranty are carried out at no cost to you.
The guarantee applies wherever the fault was present before the piece reached you: a stone that loosens without impact, a prong or setting that fails under ordinary wear, or a piece that arrives other than as ordered.
If something is not right, we fix it
There is no form to fill in and no case number to quote. One email reaches a member of our team.
- Write to Info@trucutdiamonds.com with your order number and a photograph of the issue.
- We look at it and tell you where it stands and what it will take.
- You send it in, we fix it, and it comes back to you.
Your order number matters more than it sounds. It lets us pull up the exact piece, its metal, its stone and its grading report before we have even opened the photograph, which is often the difference between an answer the same day and a week of back and forth.
Please come to us before taking a piece anywhere else. Once another jeweler has resized, repaired or altered it, we can no longer stand behind the original work.
Everyday Wear
Diamonds are hard, but settings are not indestructible, and taking a piece off at the right moments does more for its life than anything else. We would recommend removing it before exercising, swimming or bathing, cleaning or handling household chemicals, applying lotions or perfume, and sleeping.
Cleaning
Warm water, a little mild soap and a soft brush around the setting will lift most of what dulls a stone. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Between proper cleans, a polishing cloth is enough.
Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and ultrasonic machines unless we have told you your particular piece can take one.
What to Expect Over Time
Precious metal picks up fine marks with wear. That is not a fault, and a polish brings most of it back.
White gold is finished with rhodium plating, and that plating gradually thins, which is why a white gold ring slowly warms in tone. Having it re-plated occasionally is ordinary maintenance rather than a defect. It is inexpensive, any jeweler can do it, and the piece will look new again afterward.
The warranty covers manufacturing and craftsmanship. It does not extend to accidental damage, ordinary wear, loss or theft, or work carried out by another jeweler, though we will always help where we can. Looking to return or exchange something instead? That is on the Shipping & Returns page.
